I'm back online!

Lots has happened in the three weeks I haven't had internet! We are all moved in to the new house. We still have a little bit of work to do, but most of the stuff is unpacked. We've been enjoying the wonderful backyard during the day. Adelae loves to run outside. We adopted a little kitten (Zoey) and her and Adelae have become the best of friends.

Ben is still working two jobs and killing himself. He seems to like it though. Hopefully before too long he'll be able to work the occasional day at his second job. I have decided to substitute teach this coming school year. I need to get my fingerprints done and apply for a sub license. I'm hoping to take some of the financial burden off Ben in the upcoming year.

I recently celebrated my 30th birthday. It was a hard day for me. Luckily I was surrounded by wonderful friends and family. Mom came and spent the day with Adelae and I. Lot of my family came over for a small cook out and celebration. Brandon even showed up, until he had to leave for work. No worries though...I talked him into skipping out on work early and coming back! :D We lit our first fire, made s'mores and drank beer. It was a fantasic birthday! I wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way.

Adelae is still growing like a weed. Her vocabulary is really expanding. She has learned that the 'bebe' in all the pictures is actually "Alala" and constantly points to herself and says her name. She also knows just how to work her daddy. I think we're in trouble! ;-D We bought her a potty chair the other day. In true Adelae fashion, she is refusing to use it. She'll sit on it, say "pssssss" and then say "done." All with a big grin on her face of course! I didn't expect potty training to happen over night, so I'm not too concerned. We thought we'd get one so we'd have it. Her imagination has also really grown in the last few weeks. She will play by herself and just talk away. Her growth still amazes me!

I have lots of pictures to post, I just need to get them off the camera and onto the computer.

Tomorrow's the big day! We're moving! YAY! Now, if I can just get the rest of the apartment packed today... I hate moving! It's even harder with a very inquisitive 15 month old. I think I packed the same box 4 or 5 times yesterday. I'd get it totally packed, turn around and Adelae had everything back out of the box. Then she'd say "uh oh." Little stinker! I'm so excited to finally be in our new place. The weather has been so nice and I'm just itching to get outside. I'll probably be offlince for awhile after today. We don't get internet at the new place for a few weeks. We still have our cell phones (for now) so feel free to give us a call.

Presenting Mr and Mrs Roddy

My little sister got married this weekend. The ceremony and reception were perfect for John and Maria. They looked so happy and I'm so happy for them. They are a true family now! I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness.

I didnt' get to take very many pictures, but here are the ones I did take. I also stole some from Brittany's MySpace page. Thanks Britt! :D

We found a house!

Things are a changing over here at the Collins household. We found a house! YAY! It's an old farmhouse outside of Payne. It belongs to a very nice coupe that live in Southern Ohio. They don't want to sell it, so they rent it out at an extremely reasonable price. We were lucky enough to stumble upon it at the right time. Thanks Dad! :) Dad actually found it through a friend of his. So, we're moving in 2 weeks! Yeah...two weeks! I'm nervous and excited! I haven't lived in a house since I was a kid. It sure will be a big change. There are lots of things that the house needs and lots of things that I want to do. The owners said we can pretty much treat it as our own. I'm hoping to plant a garden! We'll see though, I'm not very good at that kind of stuff. I'd love to have some fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and all that good stuff. We'll only be about 5 minutes from my dad and Carol and my Aunt Carol. We'll be about 15 minutes from the Greear Clan, which will be really nice. I said I'd never move back to Payne, but what can you do?!

Happy Mother's Day!

This is my second Mother's Day as a mom and I can hardly believe it! I think about how much things have changed since I became a mom. My entire world revolves around that little girl. There have been trials and tribulations and rewards beyone measure. The other day we were playing blocks on the floor. She stopped what she was doing, walked over to me and gave me a big kiss and a hug. That's what I call the perfect Mother's Day gift!

I hope all you Mommy's, Aunts, and Grandma's have wonderful a spectacular Mother's Day :)
